For the final year of study the students participate in the in-house internship programme, working in production teams, often supervised by industry professionals, to gain vital work experience. They study more about scripting, on-set production which includes post production where such skills as editing, sound recording, special effects creation and compositing are learnt.

In this final year students produce their Short Film Animation Project as well as their own show reel for evaluation for their certification.
These show reels also become part of their personal portfolios, vital for creating interest from prospective employers for that first job offer! It's also in this final year that students create their Vuka entries. Every year the school has won numerous awards in this competition including a number for Best Animation!
